U.S. gymnast Kayla DiCello focuses on recovery while supporting college team

U.S. gymnast Kayla DiCello, 21, is recovering from surgeries on her right Achilles and left foot. She remains open to returning to elite gymnastics but is currently focused on her college season with the University of Florida. DiCello suffered an Achilles tear during the U.S. Olympic Trials in June and had foot surgery in December. She reports her rehab is progressing well and feels relieved after her second surgery, which has reduced external pressure to compete. As a sophomore on the second-ranked Gators team, DiCello aims to support her teammates despite not competing this season. The Gators will face No. 4 Utah in a tri-meet on Sunday.
