US and Russia hold peace talks in Saudi Arabia without Ukraine's participation

The U.S. and Russia have started peace talks in Saudi Arabia to discuss the war in Ukraine. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, marking a possible shift in U.S.-Russia relations. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine will not accept any agreements made without its involvement. He emphasized that Ukraine was not informed about the talks. Saudi officials also participated in the discussions but were expected to leave early. Zelensky plans to visit Saudi Arabia but said his trip is unrelated to the U.S.-Russia meeting.
