Uride launches pet-friendly rideshare option in Thunder Bay

ctvnews.ca

Canadian rideshare company Uride will launch a pet-friendly ride option in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, allowing passengers to travel with their animals. This new service aims to address ride cancellations experienced by pet owners. The "Pets" option, available through the Uride app, will cost an extra $5. Drivers will accommodate pets either on a passenger's lap or in the vehicle's back seat, based on their preference. This initiative was inspired by a customer's negative experiences. Uride, founded in 2017, operates in 24 Canadian cities. The pet-friendly service will expand to other markets soon after its Thunder Bay launch.
