Universal Studios to close Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit for new attraction in 2025

Universal Studios Florida will close the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster in September 2025 to make room for a new attraction. The park has not disclosed details about the replacement ride but plans to share more information later. The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit has been a popular feature since its opening in 2009. Known for its steep drop and customizable soundtrack, it has faced several technical issues over the years, including incidents where riders were stranded. Permits for the ride's removal have been filed, and plans include new structures near the current queue for another ride. Intamin, a roller coaster manufacturer, will design the new attraction.
