Unclear labels cause slow USB-C charging
Many USB-C cables and chargers fail to deliver optimal charging speeds due to varying power delivery capabilities and unclear labeling. This can lead to slow charging or devices not working at all. The issue stems from different USB specifications and power ratings, often without clear labeling on cables. Cables and chargers have different Power Delivery (PD) ratings, measured in watts, which determine how much power they can supply to a device. To ensure fast charging, check the wattage of the charger and the device's requirements. Using a charger with a lower wattage than needed will still charge the device, but at a slower rate, while a higher wattage charger is generally safe.
