UK's dominant Covid variant XFG, or Stratus, shows low public health risk

A new COVID-19 variant, XFG or "Stratus," is now dominant in the UK, accounting for over 60% of sequenced cases. Experts state there is no evidence XFG is more dangerous than previous variants, with the World Health Organization classifying its public health risk as low.
