UEFA appoints José María Sánchez Martínez as referee for Slovan Bratislava vs Milan match
UEFA has appointed Spanish referee José María Sánchez Martínez for the Champions League match between Slovan Bratislava and Milan on Tuesday. This will be his second match in the competition this season. Sánchez Martínez will be assisted by compatriots Raúl Cabañero and Íñigo Prieto. Carlos del Cerro Grande will serve as the Video Assistant Referee, with Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz as the fourth official. Sánchez Martínez has officiated 30 Champions League matches in his career. He previously refereed Milan's 0-0 draw against Newcastle last season. Italian teams have had success under his officiating, with only one loss in nine matches.
