Two students killed in Alandur motorcycle accident

Two college students were killed in a road accident in Alandur on Sunday night, March 23, 2025. The victims, Calwin Kenny and Siddharthan, both 19 years old, were returning home from an IPL match when the tragedy occurred. The students, who were engineering majors, had parked their motorcycle at the Alandur Metro Station. They took the Metro to watch the match and planned to ride home afterward. As they approached Asarkana Junction while taking a U-turn, the rider lost control. The motorcycle crashed into a pillar of the Metro Rail, throwing both students off the bike. They suffered severe head injuries and sadly died at the scene. Traffic Investigation Police from St. Thomas Mount have opened a case and are looking into the details of the accident.
