Two men arrested after motorcycle crash in Everton Park
Two men were arrested after they fell off scrambler bikes in Merseyside. The incident occurred on March 24 in Everton Park, where the men were reportedly starting a fire before speeding away on their bikes. Merseyside Police tracked the suspects with help from the National Police Air Service. As the officers deployed a stop stick to halt the bikes, one rider tried to avoid it, resulting in a crash into a police vehicle on Croxteth Hall Lane. This rider fell and sustained minor injuries, later receiving treatment in the hospital before being detained. The second rider headed into a wooded area off Alder Lane, where he collided with a tree. Officers provided first aid for his leg injury, and he was taken to the hospital for further care. Both scrambler bikes were seized by the police. An 18-year-old man from Gilmoss faces several charges, including dangerous driving and vehicle theft. A 21-year-old man from Kirkby was also arrested for similar charges and possession of cannabis. He remains in the hospital. Roads Policing Inspector Jason Higham emphasized the risks of riding bikes dangerously and urged the public to report any suspected illegal vehicles. He assured that police have various methods to tackle such issues, ensuring the safety of all road users.
