Twenty novels have been longlisted for the German Book Prize, with authors from Northern Germany also nominated. The Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels announced the longlist, selecting 20 works from 200 submissions. The shortlist will be revealed on September 16. The German Book Prize, one of the most prestigious for German-language authors, will be awarded on October 13 at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
