TRI.BE's future uncertain after TR Entertainment bankrupt
TR Entertainment, the label for K-pop girl group TRI.BE, has declared bankruptcy. The 16th Bankruptcy Division of the Seoul Bankruptcy Court confirmed this on March 13. This type of bankruptcy happens when a company's assets are significantly low, which is the case here. TRI.BE debuted on February 17, 2021, and enjoyed a growing career. The group was created by the late producer Shinsadong Tiger, who was known for his successful work with other girl groups. Unfortunately, Shinsadong Tiger passed away in February 2024, shortly after TRI.BE's latest release. His death left the group without a strong advocate, leading to a decline in their visibility. The financial struggles of TR Entertainment worsened after Shinsadong Tiger's passing. The company experienced a major drop in revenue and lost important investors. This situation has raised concerns for both TRI.BE and other artists under the label, including EXID’s LE and singer U Sung Eun. Fans are worried that TRI.BE may disband if the company does not find new ownership after bankruptcy. Many expressed their hopes online, wishing for a chance for the group to continue under a different label. However, as of now, there has been no official update on TRI.BE’s future. Fans remain hopeful and are eager to support the group regardless of the outcome.
