Top artists nominated for 2025 Libera Awards

Shaboozey, Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, Jessica Pratt, and Kim Gordon are the top nominees for the 2025 Libera Awards. These awards celebrate independent music across 28 categories. The ceremony will be held on June 9 at Gotham Hall in New York City. In the record of the year category, the nominees include Jessica Pratt's "Here in the Pitch" and Waxahatchee's "Tigers Blood," among others. Shaboozey, known for his hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," is also nominated for best new artist. The nominations were announced on March 19 by The Foundation for Independent Music (FIM) and A2IM, The American Association of Independent Music. Dr. Richard James Burgess, president of A2IM, praised the nominees and showcased the significance of the awards for independent music. The Libera Awards will also start the Indie Week conference, which runs from June 10 to June 12, at the InterContinental New York Times Square. A2IM supports independent music labels and currently has over 600 members.
