Toll taxes on motorways increase April 1 nationwide
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced an increase in toll tax rates for national highways and motorways. This is the second rate hike in 2025. The new tariffs will take effect on April 1. Starting next month, cars will be charged Rs70. Wagons will pay Rs150, and buses will cost Rs250. Two- and three-axle trucks will now face a toll of Rs300, while large trucks will be charged Rs550. The rates for major motorways, including M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and the E-35 expressway, have also been updated. For example, on the M1 motorway from Islamabad to Peshawar, the toll for cars has increased from Rs500 to Rs550. On the M3 route, which runs from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, it has gone up from Rs700 to Rs800. Travelers on the M4 motorway, between Pindi Bhattian and Faisalabad, will now pay Rs1,050 instead of Rs950. The toll for the M5 route from Multan to Sukkur has risen from Rs1,100 to Rs1,200. Additionally, on the M14 motorway from Dera Ismail Khan to Hakla, the toll has increased from Rs600 to Rs650. The E-35 expressway has also seen changes, with tolls for cars rising from Rs250 to Rs300. Larger vehicles will experience similar increases across all routes.
