Tokyo museum to showcase Ryuichi Sakamoto's artistry in new exhibition

The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo will open a new exhibition titled "seeing sound, hearing time" on December 21, 2024. This is the first comprehensive survey in Japan dedicated to the works of the late Ryuichi Sakamoto. The exhibition will feature large-scale installations, including both well-known pieces and new works envisioned by Sakamoto. It will also showcase collaborations with various artists. The exhibition will run until March 30, 2025, and will explore Sakamoto's contributions to music, film, and art, highlighting his influence even after his passing in March 2023.
