Tiny magnetic ducks delight Chelsea children as mystery distributor revealed
In Chelsea, thousands of tiny magnetic duck figurines have appeared on metal surfaces, captivating local children. The trend began before the pandemic but gained popularity last December, with kids collecting and trading the colorful toys. The mystery of who is placing the ducks has been partially solved. JJ Cerillo, a local dog walker, has taken the initiative to distribute around 200 ducks daily, totaling over 30,000 since last December. She credits an elusive man named Brian for starting the trend. Recently, a "Give a Duck, Take a Duck" box appeared in Chelsea, allowing kids to swap their figurines. Brian confirmed he is behind the box but wishes to remain anonymous. The duck phenomenon continues to grow in the neighborhood.
