Thurston deputies chase, then arrest Nike store thieves

Thurston County deputies arrested two individuals after a chase following an alleged theft at a Nike store. One suspect was arrested for theft and an active warrant, while the other was booked for eluding police and other charges. Deputies pursued a red SUV on I-5 after the alleged theft in Centralia on May 11. The chase involved high speeds and the attempted use of a Starchase GPS device, which failed to stick to the vehicle. The chase ended when the SUV crashed into two walls and was subsequently pinned by a patrol car near the DuPont exit. The suspects were apprehended after the vehicle was stopped.
