Three teens arrested in 14-year-old's Queens murder
A third teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 14-year-old boy outside a McDonald’s in Queens. The arrest took place on Tuesday. The teenager, who is 17 years old, faces serious charges including murder, manslaughter, and gang assault. The victim, Julian Corniell, was stabbed on February 14 after being chased out of the fast-food restaurant. Police reported that he was attacked by a group of 15 to 20 teenagers near the intersection of 38th Street and Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside. Julian was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive. Two other teens, aged 14 and 16, were arrested earlier. The 14-year-old was taken into custody at the scene and charged with gang assault. The 16-year-old was arrested last Thursday and is also facing murder charges. Julian's family is heartbroken. His aunt expressed frustration over young people using violence instead of resolving conflicts. She emphasized that being young should not be an excuse for such actions. Julian was a freshman at Hillcrest High School and lived in South Jamaica with his family.
