Three dead and thousands evacuated as Malaysia faces severe flooding

Three people have died and over 80,000 have been evacuated due to severe flooding in Malaysia, particularly in the northeastern state of Kelantan. This flooding is part of the ongoing monsoon season, which is expected to be the worst in a decade. The National Disaster Command Centre reported that 467 temporary shelters have been set up across seven states. Kelantan and Terengganu are the most affected areas, with significant rainfall leading to mass evacuations. The government has mobilized over 82,000 personnel and resources for rescue efforts. Nine train routes on the east coast have been suspended due to the floods, and heavy rain is forecast to continue until December 1.
