The Diplomat performed well but underperformed compared to Vedaa

John Abraham's film, The Diplomat, opened well at the box office, earning between 3.90 and 4.20 crores on its first day, boosted by the Holi holiday. This is better than initial predictions of 2-2.50 crores. Despite the strong start, The Diplomat's opening day collections are about 41% lower than Abraham's last release, Vedaa, which earned 6.75 crores. The film performed better than several other Bollywood releases in 2025 but fell short of competing with top earners like Deva and Sky Force.
