Textron Aviation expands aircraft lineup after recent challenges

Textron Aviation, a subsidiary of Textron, produces a variety of aircraft, including models from Beechcraft and Cessna. The company was formed in 2014 after Textron acquired Beech Holdings, combining it with Cessna and Hawker Aircraft. In recent years, Textron Aviation faced challenges, including declining sales and profits, leading to layoffs in 2017. However, the company has since expanded its offerings, including the acquisition of electric aircraft manufacturer Pipistrel in 2022. Currently, Textron Aviation manufactures 19 aircraft, including five Beechcraft models and 14 Cessna models. Their lineup features both general aviation and private jets, with popular models like the Cessna 172 and various Citation jets.
