Texas micro-resort sells for $7 million after successful first year

Isaac French sold his Texas-based micro-resort, Live Oak Lake, for $7 million in October 2023. He built the property for $2.5 million and decided to sell after receiving a suitable offer and connecting with the buyer. French launched the resort in January 2022, generating $860,000 in bookings in its first year. He initially listed the property in summer 2022 but later raised the price and found a buyer after a previous deal fell through. The sale has reduced French's stress, allowing him to focus on other ventures. He plans to consult for other micro-resort developers and may consider future projects with a full-time manager.
