Tesco's Finest Mature English Cheddar has been named the UK's best supermarket cheese, according to a recent Which? survey, surpassing popular brands like Cathedral City. The survey, conducted by Which?, involved a taste test of various mature cheddar cheeses from different supermarkets, evaluating factors like aroma, texture, and taste. Tesco's winning cheddar scored 78% and costs £3.80 for a 350g slab. The runner-up was M&S Cornish Cove Mature Cheddar, while Aldi's Specially Selected West Country Mature Cheddar was the budget option. Cathedral City, a well-known brand, scored 70% in the survey.
