Tenders to be invited for Vaduthala overbridge project in Kochi

Tenders will soon be invited for the Vaduthala overbridge in Kochi, following the completion of land acquisition. The state government has approved ₹20.49 crore for the project, which aims to ease traffic congestion in the area. The bridge design has been updated to accommodate additional railway tracks in the Ernakulam-Shoranur corridor. The Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala will construct the bridge's approach spans, while the Railways will handle the span over the tracks. Residents have long faced traffic delays due to a nearby railway crossing. The new bridge is expected to improve travel for commuters from surrounding areas, making access to Kochi faster and more efficient.
