Telangana CM orders metro line extensions to Medchal and Shamirpet

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for extending metro lines to Medchal and Shamirpet, totaling 45 km. The CM requested that these DPRs be completed within three months. The new lines will connect Paradise to Medchal and JBS to Shamirpet, addressing citizen demands for improved transit options in these suburbs. HAML will begin work on the DPRs as part of the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, which is a joint venture with the Central government.
