A 19-year-old girl was killed in a road rage shooting in Dearborn, Michigan. The incident occurred on February 21, 2025, around 10 p.m. Rawan Baseti was shot while following another car that had been involved in a dangerous encounter with her vehicle. Rawan was driving a black Jeep Cherokee with friends when they tried to get the license plate number of the white Chrysler 200 in front of them. After following the Chrysler for about two miles, the situation turned violent. The other car's occupants fired shots, fatally wounding Baseti. Her brother, Hani Baseti, spoke at a press conference, expressing the family's devastation over her loss. He appealed to the community for help, asking anyone with information to come forward. A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for tips that could lead to charges in the case. The Dearborn Police Department is leading the investigation, working with local and federal agencies. While there are persons of interest, no charges have been filed yet.
