Tech companies pledge to triple nuclear energy capacity
Major tech companies, including Amazon, Meta, and Google, have pledged to triple the world’s nuclear energy capacity by 2050. This commitment was made during the CERAWeek 2025 energy conference. The pledge, supported by 14 global banks like Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, aims to enhance nuclear power's role in providing reliable and clean energy. The United States and 24 other nations also backed the initiative. Organizers anticipate more companies will join the pledge, reflecting a growing interest in nuclear energy across various industries.
