TCL launches competitive mini-LED TVs in UK, Europe
TCL has launched a new range of mini-LED TVs for the UK and Europe. The models are now available for purchase and aim to compete in the mid-price category. This new lineup features TCL's latest '7th-gen' mini-LED backlight technology, which promises improved brightness and energy efficiency. The new LED chips are said to be 53% brighter and 10% more efficient than previous versions. They also include a 23-bit controller, allowing for 65,000 levels of light control. This is a step up from the Sony Bravia 9, which has a 22-bit controller. TCL expects to offer these advancements at a lower price point. The TVs feature various screen sizes. The flagship model, the TCL C8K, comes in sizes from 65 to 98 inches and claims up to 5,000 nits of brightness. The C7K is a mid-range option with up to 3,000 nits and comes in sizes up to 115 inches. The budget model, C6K, still offers good features but with lower brightness and fewer dimming zones. TCL also introduced QLED models and some high-end options for Europe, like the TCL X11K and C9K, although these are not available in the UK. The X11K features an advanced mini-LED structure with 14,112 dimming zones and can reach 6,500 nits of brightness. Customers will have different configurations to choose from, with all models supporting the Google TV smart system. Prices for the new models vary, appealing to a range of consumers. Overall, TCL aims to provide high-quality displays with competitive pricing.
