Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival kicks off tenth edition in Pollachi

The Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival began its tenth edition in Pollachi on January 14, 2025. This year, the festival is held at three locations: Chennai, Pollachi, and Madurai, with the event in Madurai being a first. Hot air balloon pilots from various countries are participating, showcasing balloons in unique shapes. The festival is recognized as India's only annual hot air balloon event and has become a significant part of Tamil Nadu's tourism. The festival runs until January 16 in Pollachi before moving to Madurai on January 18-19. It is organized by the State Tourism department and Global Media Box.
