Tahawwur Rana to be extradited to India for Mumbai attacks trial
Tahawwur Rana, a key conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, will be extradited from the U.S. to India. This follows the U.S. Supreme Court's rejection of his appeal in January. Rana is currently held in a detention center in Los Angeles. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the extradition, labeling Rana as "very evil." The extradition process is underway, with Indian authorities coordinating with the U.S. for Rana's return to face justice in India. The Mumbai attacks, carried out by ten Pakistani terrorists, resulted in 166 deaths. India has sought accountability for the attackers, but progress in prosecuting those involved has been slow.
