Syed Iftekhar Jamal receives lifetime achievement award from Urdu Academy in Andhra Pradesh

Syed Iftekhar Jamal has been awarded the ‘Yousuf Safi Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Urdu Academy of Andhra Pradesh. This honor recognizes his extensive contributions as a poet, writer, and cultural activist. Jamal, a poet since 1987, has had his work featured in various Urdu publications. He has also organized significant poetry events, including the first State-level ‘Riyasati Urdu Mushaira’ after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. In addition to poetry, Jamal has written and directed several dramas and telefilms. He is currently the State secretary of the Minority Hakkula Parirakshana Samiti in Andhra Pradesh.
