Swiss flight attendant dies after emergency landing due to smoke in cabin
A Swiss flight attendant died after being hospitalized for over a week following an emergency landing caused by smoke in the cabin of a Swiss Airlines flight. The Dec. 23 flight from Bucharest to Zurich was diverted to Austria due to engine problems. The airline reported that two crew members were hospitalized and ten passengers sought medical attention. The identity of the deceased crew member has not been disclosed out of respect for his family. Swiss Airlines' COO stated the company is working with authorities to investigate the incident. They aim to find answers regarding the causes of the emergency landing.
