Architect Alexander Suponitsky was killed over an alleged unpaid debt of approximately $3 million. The suspect, Konstantin Kozyrev, a former vice-president of a bankrupt company, rented an apartment below Suponitsky's and waited for him. Kozyrev used a registered carbine as the murder weapon, then set fire to his apartment and died by suicide.
