Suspect arrested in Security-Widefield homicide investigation
A man has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Security-Widefield, Colorado. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest on Tuesday. On Monday morning, around 5:45 a.m., authorities found a man dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle. The car was parked on the wrong side of Crawford Avenue, near Withington Drive. Deputies pronounced him dead shortly after 6 a.m. Detectives identified a possible crime scene nearby on Security Boulevard. Following their investigation, they arrested 29-year-old Miguel Angel Garcia Hernandez. He faces multiple charges, including murder and kidnapping. Hernandez is being held without bond at the El Paso County jail. The Sheriff's Office noted that he is in the country illegally, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
