Study reveals strong belief in afterlife among Brits with many reporting after death communications
Research shows that nearly half of Brits believe in an afterlife, with many reporting experiences of After Death Communications (ADCs). A study led by Sophie Morrison at the University of Northampton has collected over a thousand personal accounts of these phenomena since 2018. The findings indicate that 60% of people have experienced an ADC, with higher rates among those close to the deceased. Common experiences include physical contact, visual sightings, and audible messages, often occurring unexpectedly and providing comfort to the bereaved. Despite declining religious belief in the UK, interest in life after death remains stable. The research suggests that ADCs can positively impact the grieving process, with 84% of participants finding them helpful.
