Students honor freedom fighters at Lucknow event

In Lucknow, over 300 students took part in a quiz, poetry recitation, and slogan writing competitions focused on revolutionary freedom fighters. This event was hosted by Dastak and the UP culture department as part of the Shaheed Utsav, a week-long celebration. Participants learned about famous freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. A photo exhibition showcasing their lives was held at Guru Nanak Girls Degree College and Techno Group of Institutions. Students expressed inspiration from these events. Sakshi Mishra from GNGDC found the quiz informative, while others emphasized the importance of continuing the martyrs’ legacy of sacrifice and promoting unity and equality in India. On Thursday, theatre artists will engage in an open discussion at Sheroes cafe. Other activities, including exhibitions and recitals, will take place at various colleges throughout the rest of the week.
