Stephen King's 'The Institute' Season 2 Sets Fall 2026 Premiere on MGM+
The Institute, the TV adaptation of Stephen King's sci-fi novel, will officially premiere its second season on MGM+ in fall 2026, with new first-look images released. An exact premiere date has not yet been announced. The new images show returning cast members including Joe Freeman as Luke Ellis, Ben Barnes as Tim Jamieson, and Mary-Louise Parker as Ms. Sigsby, alongside a mysterious character played by Alfie Allen. The series follows abducted children with powers, and season 1 ended with changes that left room for new stories. Production on season 2 wrapped in June 2026, following the show's renewal in August 2025. The Institute is one of two major King TV releases this year, joining Prime Video's Carrie series on October 7. Stephen King serves as an executive producer.
