Starmer supports Trump on European defense responsibilities
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer agrees with U.S. President Donald Trump that European nations need to do more for their shared defence. In an interview, Starmer emphasized the importance of taking immediate action on security issues. Starmer is working on creating a multinational military force. He refers to this effort as a "coalition of the willing." The goal is to protect Ukraine’s skies, ports, and borders after a potential peace agreement is reached. He mentioned that he maintains a good personal relationship with Trump. However, he pointed out that Trump’s decisions, like the tariffs on British steel and his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, have caused some confusion in their relationship.
