Squid Game Season 2 confirms Cho Sang-woo and Sae-byeok do not return

In "Squid Game" Season 2, characters Cho Sang-woo and Sae-byeok do not return as they died in Season 1. They briefly appear in a nightmare scene experienced by the main character, Gi-hun. The first episode features Gi-hun confronting the trauma of the games. He wakes from a nightmare where the Front Man holds the severed heads of Sang-woo and Sae-byeok, highlighting the psychological impact of the competition. Despite their brief appearance, both characters remain deceased and have no active role in the new season. Gi-hun is the only survivor from the previous games.
