Spider monkey escapes in San Antonio neighborhood before being captured

A spider monkey escaped from its owners in a San Antonio neighborhood on Tuesday. Animal Care Services responded to reports of the monkey running loose, capturing it after it caused disruption by jumping across rooftops and fences. The monkey was returned to its owners, who do not live in the area. They received five citations for keeping an illegal exotic pet, including charges for possession of a prohibited animal and lack of proper vaccinations and identification for the monkey.
