SpaceX is launching the Optus-X satellite for the Australian telecom company Optus today, November 17, from Florida's Space Coast. The Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to lift off at 4:29 p.m. EST from NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The Falcon 9's first stage will attempt to land on the droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" in the Atlantic Ocean about nine minutes after launch. This will mark the 16th flight for this booster. The Optus-X satellite will be delivered to geosynchronous transfer orbit, unlike previous missions that focused on low Earth orbit. SpaceX has a busy schedule ahead, with two more launches planned for November 18 and a Starship test flight on November 19.
