Son charged with manslaughter for father's death in Detroit
A man in Michigan is facing serious charges after his father died during a fight. Le Mar Manassa Jr., 23, is accused of punching his father, Le Mar Manassa Sr., 53, multiple times in the head. This happened during an argument at their home on March 22. Authorities found the father unresponsive in the kitchen. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Wayne County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy, announced the charges against Manassa Jr., which include manslaughter. Manassa Jr. appeared in court this week. He was given a bond of $500,000 and is now under house arrest with a GPS monitor. A hearing to discuss the bond will take place on Thursday. A conference to check the evidence is scheduled for April 2.
