SJ Belangel scores 1,300th point for Daegu in KBL victory

SJ Belangel reached a milestone in the Korean Basketball League by scoring his 1,300th point during a game on December 28. He achieved this in the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus' 76-73 victory over the Sono Sky Gunners. Despite suffering a left knee injury, Belangel contributed 12 points, five assists, and three steals in that game. He later scored 23 points in a loss to Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus on January 1. Belangel, who began his KBL career in 2022, previously scored his 1,100th point in November. He has signed a two-year contract extension with Daegu, which currently holds a 13-10 record.
