SIT probes suspended officials' assets after bridge collapse

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the assets of suspended Roads and Building department officials following a bridge collapse. The SIT will scrutinize the assets of four suspended engineers and one retired official, investigating alleged misuse of power. The Gambhira bridge collapse resulted in 21 fatalities. The suspension of the engineers followed a preliminary report by an expert panel that inspected the collapsed bridge in Padra taluka.
