Single-dose HPV vaccine effective, easing vaccination programs

A single HPV vaccine dose can provide immunity similar to two doses, easing the burden on anti-HPV vaccination programs, especially in countries like India with high cervical cancer rates. Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer globally and the second most common in Indian women after breast cancer. In India, there are around 127,526 new cases and 79,906 deaths annually. HPV vaccination aims to prevent cancer-causing infections and pre-cancers.
