Singapore universities expand artificial intelligence programs to boost local talent
Singapore universities are expanding their artificial intelligence (AI) programs to develop local talent for an AI-driven economy. New offerings include undergraduate and master's degrees in AI, machine learning, and robotics at institutions like the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. In 2025, NUS will introduce two new AI-related degrees, while NTU will launch a Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics. Other universities, such as Singapore Management University and Singapore Institute of Technology, are also enhancing their AI curricula with specialized courses and programs. Additionally, Singapore University of Social Sciences will offer new courses in Generative AI and Natural Language Processing in 2025. These developments reflect a growing emphasis on AI education across Singapore's higher education landscape.
