A new report reveals that Singaporeans' trust in news remains high, exceeding the global average, with The Straits Times (ST) being the most trusted news brand. 75% of Singaporean audiences trust ST. The Digital News Report, surveying 100,000 people across 48 markets, found that 45% of Singaporeans trust the news most of the time, ranking Singapore 15th globally. News avoidance in Singapore is also low at 27%. The survey also highlighted that legacy news brands in Singapore maintain high trust scores, while online and social media are the most common ways of accessing news.
