Government employees in Sindh will benefit from extended holidays for Eidul Fitr in 2025. The provincial government has declared several public holidays in April. According to an official notice, Eidul Fitr holidays will be from March 31 to April 2. This aligns with the federal government's decision. Additionally, April 4 will be a public holiday to honor the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. With weekends on March 29-30 and April 5-6, officials will have a total of eight days off. Eidul Fitr is expected to be celebrated in Pakistan on March 31, after the completion of Ramadan. The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council reports that the Shawwal crescent should be visible on the evening of March 30, weather permitting. The council's Secretary General, Khalid Ijaz Mufti, noted that the new moon will be born on March 29 at 3:58 PM local time. Mufti explained that the moon needs to be at least 18 hours old at sunset to be seen. This will be easily achieved, as the age of the moon will be over 26 hours by then. Moreover, the time between sunset and moonset will be sufficient for it to be visible across various cities.
