Shenzhen sets world record with over 10,000 drones in stunning aerial show

Shenzhen, China, recently set a new world record for drone shows, using 10,197 drones to create stunning aerial displays. This surpassed the previous record of 7,598 drones set just weeks earlier. The latest show, controlled by a single laptop, achieved two Guinness World Records: the most drones airborne simultaneously from one computer and the largest aerial image created by drones. These advancements in drone technology are making such displays more popular as they are quieter and more environmentally friendly than traditional fireworks. The show was part of the lead-up to China’s National Day on October 1.
