Sevilla targets Chelsea's Mudryk for summer transfer
Sevilla is reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk this summer. This news comes even as Mudryk is currently under a doping suspension. He has not played for Chelsea since November 28, when he was provisionally banned from football. His future at Chelsea is unclear, but several clubs in Europe are watching the situation closely. Manchester United has already shown interest, with plans to offer around €50 million for the 24-year-old player. According to Spanish outlet Sport, Sevilla could also pursue Mudryk, but only if he is cleared of any allegations. They want to follow the lead of their rivals, Real Betis, who successfully signed Manchester United's Antony on loan in January. Bayer Leverkusen may also be in the mix, as they missed out on Mudryk in 2022 and are still interested now. Chelsea hopes Mudryk's 'B' sample will return negative, but if not, he could face a four-year ban. Even if he is cleared, Mudryk still has challenges ahead. He has struggled to perform since joining Chelsea for €70 million, scoring just 10 goals in 73 games. With competition for positions rising from other players, his role could be limited even if he stays at Stamford Bridge.
