Sereno Fort Lauderdale will feature 76 oceanfront residences
Sereno Fort Lauderdale is a new residential project planned for construction near the beach. The development will feature 76 residences in a 14-story building located at 2901 NE 9th Court in Fort Lauderdale, between the Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean. The residences will range from one to three bedrooms, with sizes between 1,080 and 2,400 square feet. The name "Sereno" is meant to convey a sense of calm and tranquility, according to developer Victor Ballestas. Residents can look forward to several amenities, including a rooftop pool with ocean views, a pickleball court, gym, steam room, infrared sauna, cold plunge, outdoor shower, and a yoga lawn. There will also be vehicle charging stations and a pet spa area. The site was previously home to a commercial strip that included small businesses like a car rental shop and Franco & Vinny's restaurant, which closed after 50 years. Despite changes in the area, Ballestas noted ongoing interest in Fort Lauderdale as a desirable market. Prices for the new residences will start at $1.4 million and can go up to $4 million for penthouses, with a total of four to six expected. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026 and take approximately two years to finish. The development will not include retail spaces. Instead, it aims to offer a "boutique experience" for its residents, emphasizing an active lifestyle with parks and the beach just a short walk away.
